My Guide to Launceston

Vineyards

  • Clover Hill Wines

    60 Clover Hill Rd, Lebrina

For a taste of luxury, Clover Hill is a must. Their cellar door and specialty food offerings (available on select days) are incredible. I would recommend this as an adults-only experience.

  • Delamere Vineyard

    4238 Bridport Rd, Pipers Brook

Delamere is one of my favourite vineyards and I love heading there with my family. Their grounds are huge and they have an awesome open pantry stocked with local produce for making delicious platters. My favourite drop is the Sparking Rosé, it’s seriously good!

  • Josef Chromy Wines

    370 Relbia Rd, Relbia

Just 10 minutes from the Launceston CBD and airport, you will find the amazing Josef Chromy Wines. They offer a full lunch (the food is next level!) or you can take a seat at the cellar door to enjoy a flight of fine wine and the stunning lakeside views. When short on time, I love sitting outdoors and enjoying a few glasses with a cheese platter.

  • Loira Vines

    3191 West Tamar Hwy, Loira

This boutique vineyard may be small, but its platters are a local favourite for a reason – in fact, I think they are the best in the valley! Pair with a glass of wine for an excellent tasting experience.

  • Moore’s Hill

    3343 West Tamar Hwy, Sidmouth

Make sure you swing by Moore’s Hill. Their platters are crazy good and I’m a big fan of their wines, especially the Riesling – trust me, it’s not to be missed!

  • Swinging Gate Vineyard

    103 Glendale Rd, Sidmouth

Swinging Gate is really cool, with charming hand-drawn bottles and an eclectic cellar door for a quirky touch (in the best way possible). My picks? The Pét Nat and Pinot.

  • Tamar Ridge

    1A Waldhorn Dr, Rosevears

Tamar Ridge is the perfect spot for enjoying a glass of wine on the deck, while the kids keep entertained with hula hoops, balls and more. If you’re feeling snacky, why not try one of their delish cheese platters?
