My Guide to Launceston

Cafes

  • Amelia Coffee Co.

    56 George St, Launceston

Amelia is my go-to café in the CBD, with amazing baristas and a great selection of coffee and sweets – you have to try the salted choc chip cookie! It’s just down the road from City Park, so it’s the perfect spot to kick off a day of exploring the city.

  • Aromas Cafe

    272 Charles St, Launceston

Aromas Cafe has been a Launceston staple for over twenty years, offering a seasonal breakfast and lunch menu. I love their grab-and-go options, tasty and great for when you’re on the move.

  • Bread + Butter

    70 Elizabeth St, Launceston

Bread + Butter is my local café with a brekkie menu so good, I can’t pick just one favourite. The scrambled eggs are a big winner with my kids and I’ll be honest, the pastries are pricey, but you won’t find better in town. Go on, treat yourself!

  • Inside Cafe

    14 Paterson St, Launceston

I love stopping at Inside when I’m spending a day in the city. It’s an excellent spot to take a break while out and about, plus it’s next door to a fantastic homewares store that will keep you busy, especially if your lunch date is running late.

  • Off Center Coffee

    2A Kingsway, Launceston

Off Center Coffee is a real hidden gem, serving up coffees and baked goods that hit the spot.

  • Roam Coffee

    108 High St, Launceston

This hole-in-the-wall spot serves fantastic takeaway coffee and you’ll catch me there most mornings picking up a sneaky latte. During winter, they’ve got the fireplace roaring to keep you nice and toasty.

  • Tinka Coffee Brewers

    147 St John St, Launceston

I pop into Tinka regularly for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat - it’s always delicious and they’re a lovely bunch of people too!
