My Guide to Launceston

Parks

  • City Park

    45 Tamar St, Launceston

One of the oldest parks in Australia, City Park is best enjoyed with a relaxing picnic and stroll around the beautiful gardens. There’s plenty to do for kids and adults including play equipment, a giant chess set, train ride, tranquil conservatory, and even a monkey enclosure.

  • Riverbend Park

    81 Lindsay St, Invermay

If you’re on the hunt for a place to tire out the kids, you can’t go past Riverbend. This place has it all – multiple playgrounds, water play area, huge sports court, musical instruments, skywalk, toddler play area and more. Thank me later!

  • Punchbowl Reserve

    102-134 Punchbowl Rd, Punchbowl

Punchbowl Reserve is a local favourite, with a playground, walking trails, duck pond and public barbeque facilities. It’s such a nice spot for a day outdoors.

  • Kings Park

    88-96 Paterson St, Launceston

Take a walk along the foreshore of the Tamar River, on the edge of Launceston’s CBD. Why not top it off with a tasty lunch at Stillwater?
